Thank you for referring our website, if you have any question or business inquiry
Customers often ask us what is the difference between the copper pipes we provide and ordinary copper pipes? I would like to take this opportunity to share my personal views.
Firstly, our copper pipes are commonly used in hospitals or clinics, with most of them being used in central oxygen supply pipelines. Thus need it is specially cleaned, straight lengths of seamless, usually identified as type K, L, M.
Besides, another important procedure during manufacture is degreasing phosphating. This is very important. Why?
1. The manufacturer of medical degreased copper pipes stated that according to the relevant specifications of medical oxygen copper pipes, carbon steel pipes should be degreased before acid washing because oil is insoluble in acid, and acid washing first is not effective in treating oil stains and corrosion.
2. Avoid mixing oxygen with oil to form combustion or explosive mixtures. When there is fire or a certain temperature is reached, it will start to burn or be dangerous.
3. In addition to risk factors, if the oxygen copper tube is not degreased, it may affect the purity of oxygen and not meet the purity requirements for medical oxygen.
If the oxygen copper tube contains a large amount, it will have an impact on the service life of the oxygen delivery equipment.
There are also some of the standard that we can reference such as ASTM B819, NFPA99, CSA standard ect.
